Robert M. Jivin, age 74, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Grace Barker Nursing Home. He is survived by his daughter, Holly Jivin, of Los Angeles, Calif.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., a son of the late Stephen and Sophie (Sluwinksi) Jivin, he was a longtime resident of Georgia and then Bristol for 20 years.
A proud veteran of the United States Army and Air Force, he served as a Grade Sergeant. A Checker Foreman for Georgia Port Authority, he worked for 33 years before his retirement in 2001. In his retirement he enjoyed working at Benny’s before its closing. An avid and talented gardener, he was an animal lover.
