Rogue Island Comedy Festival – 4 days of laughs on Aquidneck Island

The Ocean State’s only comedy festival returns this Thursday to Sunday, Oct. 6 to 9, for a full island takeover with nine shows across Newport, Middletown and Portsmouth. More than 30 of the best local and nationally will be performing at three separate venues!

Plus there will an exclusive Rhode Island screening of the film “Fourth of July” (directed by Louis CK, and starring Louis CK and Joe List) during the festival.

Featured comedians include Zoltan Kazsas (Comedy Central, Dry Bar), Ahmed Bharoocha (Comedy Central, Adult Swim, Netflix Is A Joke), Paris Sashay (Comedy Central), Christi Chiello (Comedy Central), Gavin Matts (Comedy Central), Gordon Baker-Bone (Gotham Live, MTV) and more.

FALL FEST VENUES:
• Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center, Newport
• Ragged island Brewhouse, Portsmouth
• Diego’s Barrio Cantina, Middletown

  • Saturday Oct 8; 5pm, 7pm, 9pm
  • Sunday Oct 9; 7pm, 9pm

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
