Ronald V. Medeiros, 62, of Westport, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at home. He was the husband of Charlotte E. (Kirby) Medeiros.

Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Joseph V. and Lucy (Silva) Medeiros.

Mr. Medeiros was employed as a truck driver.  He enjoyed spending time with his family but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Including his wife, survivors include two sons, Clifford Medeiros and his wife Kristin of Bingham, Maine, and Michael Medeiros and his wife Michelle of Hyannis; six brothers, David Medeiros of Florida, Bobby Medeiros of Mssachusetts, J. “Jr.” Medeiros of Massachusetts, Mike Medeiros of South Carolina, Anthony Medeiros of Massachusetts and Tommy Medeiros of Massachusetts; a sister, Lucy Cory of Massachusetts; four grandchildren, Amandalee, Marisa, Madison and Ashton; a great granddaughter Layla; and many nieces and nephews.

Private arrangements are under the direction of the Potter Funeral Home 81 Reed Road, Westport.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to South Coast Hospice and Palliative Care Services, 200 Mill Rd., Suite 120, Fairhaven, MA 02719.
