Strawberry Festival - Enjoy the summer season's first fresh strawberries

This coming Saturday is Trinity's annual Festival promising a day of fun for the whole family enjoying fresh strawberries from Rhode Island's own Quonset View Farm.

Plan on feasting on a summertime treat of fresh-made Strawberry shortcakes along with a glass of fresh-squeezed lemonade, listen to live music on our expansive lawn, take historic church tours, and enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime, Instagram-worthy photo opportunity in front of a historic coronation coach.

Everyone in the family is sure to have a wonderful time!

This is a great way to kick off your summer in Newport.

And for those who love fresh strawberries, take-home-sized pints will also be available.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
