Police responded to Child Street at 8:39 a.m. for the report of an infant opossum in a resident’s front yard. It was transported to a wildlife rehabilitation facility.

An anonymous caller reported a wellbeing check at 7:22 on a woman and young child who had been sitting at a picnic table on Main Street since 5:00 p.m. They were fine.

Tuesday, May 28
Police received a report of two large turtles on Serpentine Road at 8:57 a.m. A pedestrian safely moved them out of harm’s way.

A person came into headquarters at 11:39 a.m. to report that funds were missing from their Dunkin Donuts gift card. They were advised that was not a matter for the police to handle.

A passerby on Child Street reported at 8:38 p.m. that there was an unknown person taking planters from the outside of an establishment nearby. They turned out to be employees just watering the plants.

Wednesday, May 29
A caller reported at 11:49 a.m. that a bicyclist near Main and Nobert Streets was kicking construction signs into the road. Signs were set back up and the police didn’t find the alleged peddling perpetrator.

A resident called police at 12:00 p.m. because their relative was attempting to sell their father’s home.

A caller reported a gray Porsche had struck a parked vehicle near Water and Company Streets at 1:33 p.m. and took off without stopping.

A Patterson Avenue resident reported at 3:56 p.m. that they had been the victim of a computer scam.

A juvenile reported at 5:34 p.m. that a man had approached him while on Market Street and acted in a suspicious manner. Police reported making extra patrols in the area.

Joseph Viveiros, 50, of 31 Pearse Ave., Bristol, was arrested at 7:12 p.m. near Main Street and Sowamsett Avenue following an accident that was reported by a witness. Bristol police found the car parked at the residence associated with the registration provided by the witness. He was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC unknown, first offense), failure to stop for an accident resulting in damage to a vehicle, and refusal to submit to a chemical test. He was transported back to Warren, arraigned, and later released.

Thursday, May 30
A caller reported at 10:35 a.m. that two dogs were attacking his dog on Serpentine Road.

Richard J. Balasco, 61, of 6 Colonial Dr., Warren, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop near Asylum Road and Loring Drive at 8:06 p.m. He was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a chemical test. He was arraigned and released later that evening.

Andre A. McParlin, 19, of 648 Main St., Warren, was arrested near Kyalin Lane and Warren Boulevard at 11:44 p.m. following a report that someone had been observed on a Ring camera attempt to enter the rear door to their home and then retreat into a nearby wooded area when they couldn’t gain entrance. Police reported finding several vehicles that appeared to have been tampered with in the vicinity as well. He was charged with one count of breaking and entering of a dwelling when a resident was on the premises, and six counts of injuring or tampering with vehicles. He was arraigned and transported to court the following morning.

Friday, May 31
Police responded to Kenny Drive for a report that quads were being driven down the street. Police found that the ATVs were parking in the garage of a nearby home, and advised the owners of the complaint.

Police dispersed people from inside a wooded area on Brown Street at 8:27 p.m.

Saturday, June 1
Police checked on a man on Ward Street at 12:02 a.m. who was reported by someone as suspicious because they were wearing all black and walking up and down the road. Police found he was new to the neighborhood and was just going for a walk.

Police and fire personnel responded to Main Street at 6:18 a.m. for the report of a deer stuck in a fence. They were able to free the animal and reported it was okay.

A Touisset Road resident reported at 10:16 a.m. that a resident in the area had been lighting off fireworks during the day and nighttime hours.

Police responded to Child Street at 7:45 p.m. for the report that children were possibly playing with BB guns in a nearby yard. Police found they were airsoft guns, which shoot plastic BBs instead of metal. The neighbor was still aggrieved by the noise they were making.

Sunday, June 2
A caller on Kinnicutt Avenue reported at 10:48 a.m. that their house had been broken into and items had been stolen. A detective was dispatched to the address.

A Frank Court resident reported their dog had been bitten by a neighbor’s dog at 11:17 a.m.

An anonymous caller reported a road rage incident near Kinnicutt Avenue and Schoolhouse Road at 9:22 p.m. They claimed the driver of a silver BMW yelled at the caller and shot a firearm out of the sunroom before taking off towards Swansea. Swansea police were advised and police checked the area but found no one matching the description.

Monday, June 3
Adisa A. Samuel, 39, of 67 Catherine St., Bristol, was arrested at 1:16 a.m. following a motor vehicle stop near Metacom and Harris Avenues. He was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a chemical test. He was arraigned and released later that morning.
