Warren's summer concert and movie series start this week

Posted

The Warren Summer Concert and Warren Summer Movie Series begins this week at Burr’s Hill Park.

Parks and Recreation Director Tara Thibaudeau said on Friday that event staff would be extra mindful of noise generated by the concert series, following extensive conversations in the past months regarding those who feel the concerts have gotten too loud. She said they will try their best to monitor sound and make reasonable adjustments as needed.

“Warren Parks and Recreation has a summer full of fun and family activities,” Thibaudeau said. “Our tennis and basketball programs will start right after the Fourth and our first outdoor movie will be Thursday night, which will kick off with family karaoke. Sunday kicks off our summer concert series, where we will have food trucks, local artisans, face painting, character meet and greets and live music.”

Thibaudeau thanked all the events sponsors, specifically mentioning platinum sponsor TWIGG's Automotive, gold sponsor Navigant Credit Union, and the Warren Prevention Coalition (silver sponsor).
