Letter: The other sounds of summer in Tiverton

Posted

A recent contribution to NextDoor from a neighbor remarked upon the peace derived from sitting in a quiet garden, listening to nature.

The soundtrack to my summer, so far, has been the roar of illegally muffled motorcycles and the silence of the police in enforcing the law, and the squealing of overfed, overpraised, overpaid soft pink-handed men of a certain class and race suddenly having to face, many for the first time, being caught.
