The old RL Flounders restaurant property at 90 Pottersville Road in Little Compton will be sold at public auction next Wednesday, Oct. 4
The former home of Crowther’s Restaurant closed last year after about a year in business.
The sale is being conducted by a Providence legal firm representing the mortgage holder. A $20,000 deposit is required to bid.
The building was built in 1920, and the land on which it sits covers 3.2 acres. The property was valued by the town last year at $721,900.
The sale would spell a new chapter in the property’s culinary story, which began when the late George Crowther, of the Commons Lunch family, opened the original Crowther’s restaurant in 1982.
