Thank you for addressing shoreline access issues

Your excellent articles on shoreline access, including the last one on April 21 by Glen Sherman, finally deal with the elephant which has been lurking in our collective conscience, since we stole the whole area, seashore and all, from the people we call the "indians."

I just returned from a fe days in Greenwich, Connecticut, which dealt with this moral problem years ago and ended with the private members-only Todds' Point being turned over to the community. Of course, in our area, this will be battled out in many courts by many wealthy white men, but the people will win in the end.

We are incredibly lucky to have a local newspaper in a world where these papers are disappearing across the country. Let's all support the Sakonnet Times.
