There was plenty of action Saturday morning when the Little Compton Gameclub held its third annual opening day trout tournament.
This year, Summer Viveiros returned to her winning form from 2022 and took the top prize, narrowly beating out second place finisher Porter Bordner, Wyatt Rosinha, who came in third, and Ella Carreiro, who fell just short of placing.
On the adult side, Gary DeCosta won with three fish for a total of 6.56 pounds. Stan Indyck II was right behind him with 6.33 pounds of trout, and Jon Vivieros Jr., Summer’s dad, weighed 6.24 pounds of fish.
The largest fish caught in the tournament was a 3.25-pound salmon caught by Eric Valcourt.
