Residents seeking public office have until Wednesday to declare their intent to run office in this November's election. Though all declarations must be made by the end of the day Wednesday, a handful have already submitted paperwork to the town clerks in Tiverton and Little Compton, or otherwise confirmed to the Sakonnet Times that they would run, but have not yet filed their paperwork:

Little Compton

• Travis Snow, an Independent, is seeking a seat on the Little Compton School Committee.

• Victoria Talbot, a Democrat, is seeking a seat on the Little Compton Town Council.

• Republican Gary Mataronas and Democrat Andrew Iriarte-Moore did not declare their candidacy before the Sakonnet Times deadline, but confirmed this week that they are seeking re-election to the town council.

• Democrat Patrick A. McHugh, a Democrat, declared his intent to run for re-election to the town council.

• Susan D. Chase, a Democrat, seeks a seat on the school committee.

• District 71 Rep. Michelle McGaw, a Democrat from Portsmouth, is running for re-election.

Tiverton

• District 70 Rep. John G. Edwards, a Democrat, did not file paperwork by the Sakonnet Times deadline, but confirmed Monday that he will run for re-election.

• Town council hopefuls running for election in the non-partisan race include David Perry, John Chelo, Craig Committo, Ray Hayden, and Blake Hayden. Incumbents Michael Burk, Dennis Milbourne and John G. Edwards V declared their intent to run for re-election.

• Diane Farnworth is running for re-election to the Tiverton School Committee.
