Looming storm causes cancellation of 'Folk on the Farm' show

Festival was set for Sunday, Sept. 27, called off due to likely 'Nor'easter'

The "Folk on the Farm" music festival scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 27, has been cancelled as a precaution in anticipation of a significant "Nor'easter" striking the area over the weekend.

Warren Holiday Festival co-chair Elwood Donnelly, whose organization took over operations of the folk event this year, said the show will not be rescheduled. A date for the next "Folk on the Farm" is already set, however, October 3, 2027.

However, all is not lost for local music lovers who might deign to defy the weather.

Two of the bands slated to play the event are planning an unaffiliated impromptu gig at arc{hive} book + snackery Sunday at its Market Street venue from 3-6 p.m.: Atwater-Donnelly Trio and arc{hive} House Band with special guests. Admission is free.
