The Collaborative is moving from its Main Street spot in Warren

Posted

The Collaborative recently announced that it will be moving out of its 498 Main St. Gallery location on June 25, 2023.

“Our hope is that this transition will enable us to find a larger space that can be even better for facilitating our programs, events, and ideas,” said The Collaborative’s Executive Director, Uriah Donnelly. “We are approaching this as an opportunity.”

The Collaborative will be hosting a Goodbye to Main Party on Sunday, June 18 from 6-8 p.m. to celebrate the gallery – a community staple since the organization’s conception in 2016. The event will include food, drink, and is set against the backdrop of the annual Teeny Tiny Show, comprised of works 3” and under, which opened June 1.

The gallery at 498 Main St. has housed the work of over 70 artists throughout the past seven years and has been home to Artist Collaborators who staff and exhibit in the gallery. On June 25, The Collaborative will move all work from the Main Street location to its 4 Market St. Gallery, which opened in 2022. Activities will be in full swing at Market Street on June 29 for Art Night.

“I have met so many special people in the Main Street Gallery. I have taught and learned from a variety of workshops. I have been able to see artwork in person that has changed my perception of what art can be,” said Artist Collaborator Faye Silvia. “I am thankful we still will have access to a similar space, but this place has a lot of memories for me and I am sad to see it go.”
