Monday, Oct. 31
A suspicious person was reported to have emerged near the woods near a house on Barden Lane wearing all dark clothing at 11:10 a.m. Police found no one in the area.
Police responded to a panhandler at Main and Seymour Streets at 1:50 p.m. but they had gone when police arrived.
A cat reported as injured on State Street at 2:35 p.m. wound up being deceased.
Police assisted a man who had fallen and received a laceration to his head on Market Street at 2:59 p.m. He was transported to the hospital.
A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested on Cottage Street at 5:57 p.m. following a report that a group of around five juveniles had egged a house in that area. The juvenile was charged with obstructing an officer in execution of their duty and was released to a grandparent.
A second 16-year-old juvenile was arrested at 6:25 p.m. on Franklin Street in relation to the egging incident above. The juvenile was charged with obstructing an officer in execution of their duty.
A 15-year-old was arrested on Federal Street at 8:18 p.m. following an earlier report that there was a group fo teenage girls who appeared to be drunk in the area of Market Street. The 15-year-old was charged with possession of an alcoholic beverage while underaged, first offense.
Tuesday, Nov. 1
A caller reported that a person who rear-ended them near Market and Main Street around 3:00 p.m. took off after the accident. Barrington PD reported they were going to follow up at the person’s residence.
Wednesday, Nov. 2
Police dispersed a man who was approaching vehicles asking for money at Market and Main Streets at 8:25 a.m.
A caller on Kickemuit Road reported at 9:36 a.m. that there was an injured mink in their driveway. The animal control officer said they would contact a wildlife rehabilitation facility to assess the animal.
A woman was transported to the hospital at 12:37 p.m. after multiple callers reported she was staggering in and out of traffic on Child Street.
RIDOT was notified that a crosswalk button was dislodged and hanging by wires at a crosswalk at Main and Campbell Streets at 12:50 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 3
A man reported to police that two young males were filming him while harrassing taunting him while on the bike path near Railroad Avenue at 1:13 p.m. Police checked the area but didn’t find anyone matching the description.
Friday, Nov. 4
A caller reported they hit a deer while driving on Birch Swamp Road around 6:38 a.m.
A Child Street resident reported at 11:32 a.m. that both of their cell phones were stolen.
Police responded to an incident on Kinnicutt Avenue at 6:43 p.m. that resulted in two arrests. John Almeida, 44, of Warren, was charged with two counts of domestic violence (simple assault and/or battery and disorderly conduct, both first offenses). Joseph Fedrizzi, 54, of Warren, was charged with a superior court warrant. Almeida was arraigned and released later that evening, and Fedrizzi was transported to the ACI.
Saturday, Nov. 5
Angelica Acosta Berrios, 23, of Bristol, was arrested on Metacom Avenue at 2:18 a.m. following a motor vehicle stop. She was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a breathalyzer. She was arraigned and released to the custody of friends later that morning.
A mulch fire was extinguished by a home owner on Birch Swamp road at 12:17 p.m.
A man was served a no trespass order from a Main Street address at 5:05 p.m. after a caller reported they had harassed an employee of theirs in the past.
Sunday, Nov. 6
Police dispersed a man and his kids who were playing in a construction site near Schoolhouse and Serpentine Road at 1:38 p.m.
A caller on Child Street reported at 9:47 p.m. that a neighbor was playing drums loudly with the doors open. Police found they were playing music over a speaker and were advised to quiet down. The same caller reported again at 10:34 p.m. that the same neighbor had turned the music back up again. Police once again asked the neighbor to quiet down.
