Monday, May 1
A caller on Vernon Street reported at 7:45 a.m. that their dog had killed a woodchuck over the weekend.

A person who was allegedly banned from a gym on Metacom Avenue reportedly re-entered the gym and caused a scene at 1:36 p.m. Police caught up with the man, who said he hadn’t been banned. The manager was advised to call back if he returned.

A group of juveniles were reported to be fighting on Child Street at 2:47 p.m. but officers found no disturbance at the scene.

A short and minor disturbance between juveniles who were allegedly in the way of a man riding on a bicycle on the bike path was reported at 6:47 p.m. The man was advised of the complaint.

An oven fire on Market Street brought out Rhode Island Energy and Warren Fire Department officials at 10:44 p.m.

Tuesday, May 2
A Market Street resident reported missing prescription medication at 9:23 a.m.

A Croade Street resident reported their vehicle had been damaged due to flooding at 9:48 a.m.

The special hazards truck was dispatched to investigate a report of oil leaking from a dumpster on Child Street at 3:41 p.m.

A Tip 411 report stated juveniles on the bike path near Child Street were swearing and running into traffic. They were advised of the complaint at 4:23 p.m.

Wednesday, May 3
Kenneth Lagrange, 52, of Warren, was arrested following an incident on Arlington Avenue at 1:57 a.m. He was charged with two counts of domestic violence (simple assault and/or battery and disorderly conduct, both first offenses). He was transported to district court later that morning.

A Fern Drive resident reported an ATV was speeding through the neighborhood at 1:29 p.m. but police didn’t find the vehicle.

Harassing phone calls were reported on Child Street at 4:20 p.m.

Thursday, May 4
A road rage incident was reported near Main and Franklin Streets at 4:22 p.m. The caller indicated it was a common occurrence at that time, but police didn’t locate the vehicle in question in the area.

Police dispersed a man who refused to leave a residence near Joyce Street at 10:14 p.m.

A caller on Lyndon Street reported at 10:30 p.m. that there were two males in their driveway near their vehicle whom they did not recognize. Police found two juveniles at the scene who claimed they were playing manhunt, and they were advised of the complaint.

Friday, May 5
One person was transported to the hospital after an accident was reported near Metacom Avenue and Fatima Drive at 8:59 a.m.

Michael Brown, 39, of Warren, was arrested following a traffic stop at Main and Haile Streets at 7:11 p.m. He was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a breathalyzer. He was arraigned and released later that evening.

Police found and dispersed people from the area of Market Street after a person reported them when they walked into an establishment with a “handle of vodka” at 7:38 p.m.

A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested on Main Street at 11:27 p.m. and charged with violating a family court order (misdemeanor). They were transported to the training school early the following morning.

Saturday, May 6
Officers restored the peace to two situations involving people yelling at one another; one on Metacom Avenue at 4:12 a.m., and one on Croade Street at 10:29 a.m.

A caller on Water Street reported a man was urinating in an alleyway at 12:01 p.m. Police asked the man in question about the allegation, which he denied. They advised him of the complaint.

One person was transported to the hospital after an alleged altercation on Arlington Avenue at 9:37 p.m. Police found the two women involved had conflicting stories and the other involved party was advised to respond to headquarters to provide a statement if needed.

Sunday, May 7
Frank Alfano Jr., 39, of Warren, was arrested following an incident on Metacom Avenue at 3:29 a.m. He was charged with domestic violence (assault by strangulation), domestic violence (refusal to relinquish/obstruction of a telephone, first offense), domestic violence (simple assault and/or battery, first offense), and domestic violence (disorderly conduct, first offense). He was arraigned and released later that morning.

Norman Escobar, 46, of Providence, was arrested following an incident on Child Street at 5:28 a.m. He was charged with domestic violence (attempted breaking and entering), domestic violence (cyberstalking and cyber harassment, first offense), and domestic violence (disorderly conduct, second offense). He was arraigned and transported to the ACI later that evening.

A person putting cones onto the street on Nobert Street for a youth basketball game was reported once at 8:29 a.m. and again at 10:48 a.m. The cones were eventually removed.

A man was dispersed from Main Street at 12:50 p.m. after a caller reported them to be panhandling.

A man was dispersed from a bench on Market Street at 3:55 p.m. who was reportedly sleeping.
