Monday, Jan. 23
A motor vehicle accident that occurred on Main Street at 8:47 a.m. resulted in a no parking sign being knocked over. RIDOT was notified.

A Touisset Road resident reported at 9:55 a.m. that someone had opened and used several credit cards in their name fraudulently.

A store manager on Market Street reporter several hypodermic needles in the parking lot at 11:38 a.m.

An employee was reportedly bitten by a cat at 3:48 p.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 24
A dog bite was reported on Main Street at 7:02 a.m.

Identify theft was reported on Bradbury Street at 9:17 a.m.

Another dog bite was reported at 9:44 a.m.

Police were called to Asylum Road at 2:24 p.m. stemming from an incident in the pickup line at school where a parent accidentally cut the line, stating they weren’t aware of the rules.

A hit and run accident was reported at a parking lot on Metacom Avenue at 4:08 p.m.

Joshua Braga, 35, of East Providence, was arrested on Waterman Avenue in East Providence at 9:15 p.m. and transported to the custody of Warren PD. He was charged with domestic violence (violation of a protective order), first offense. He was transported to the ACI following his arraignment.

Wednesday, Jan. 25
RIDOT was notified of a large tree limb in the road near Schoolhouse Road and Long Lane at 12:08 p.m. It was moved to the side of the road in the meantime.

Thursday, Jan. 26
A caller on Child Street reported seeing sparks coming from a wire on a nearby utility pole. Rhode Island Energy was called to investigate.

DPW received a call regarding a large tree limb resting on a power line on Avenue A at 10:51 a.m. Rhode Island Energy was notified.

Staff at a school on Child Street reported vandalism in a bathroom at 11:56 a.m.

A parent called at 1:07 p.m. to report their child had been physically assaulted at Kickemuit Middle School.

A fight between students was reported at 2:19 p.m. on Child Street.

Friday, Jan. 27
Police searched for a female who appeared to be a teenager who was reportedly seen walking on Seymour Street with a blanket around her at 7:25 a.m. They didn’t find anyone matching the description in the area.

The principal of a school on Market Street reported at 8:33 a.m. that they had removed a knife from a student the prior day and wanted to make a report.

A caller on William Street reported at 10:40 a.m. that they had come home to find their belongings strewn over the front lawn.

Saturday, Jan. 28
An email scam was reported on Maple Road at 11:10 a.m.

A fire was reported as extinguished on Shipyard Lane at 2:32 p.m.

A caller on Joyce Street reported at 3:06 p.m. that a moped had been driving erratically outside of their building repeatedly. Police didn’t find the rider.

Brian Gray, 47, of East Providence, was arrested on a warrant on Waterman Avenue in by East Providence Police at 9:22 p.m. and was transported to the custody of Warren PD. He was charged with one count of larceny under $1,500. He was arraigned and released later.

Sunday, Jan. 29
Olivia Almeida, 26, of Bristol, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop on Metacom Avenue at 12:56 a.m. She was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a breathalyzer. She was arraigned and released later that morning.

Two pedestrians flagged down an officer on Wood Street at 7:46 a.m., saying there were two suspicious men who might be looking into houses. Police didn’t find anyone in the area.

Andrea Bisbano, 46, of Warren, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop near Market and Old Market Street at 5:34 p.m. They were charged with three counts of possession of a schedule I-V controlled substance. They were arraigned and released later that evening.
