Warren PD: Police called for illicit use of a porta-john

Monday, May 13
Fire personnel helped extinguish a fire at a home on Overhill Road at 7:10 a.m. It didn’t cause any damage to the structure.

A caller reported at 10:45 a.m. their car had been damaged by a piece of landscaping equipment that kicked up a rock on Market Street.

A caller on Hanley Farm Road reported at 5:34 p.m. that their neighbor had backed into their garage while in their car. Nobody was injured.

Credit card fraud was reported on William Street at 5:49 p.m.

Tuesday, May 14
A caller reported at 6:31 p.m. that there were three females who were loitering on their property on Federal Street and possibly using a port-a-potty that was on the site. Police spoke with them and advised them not to do that anymore.

A Haile Street resident reported at 7:52 p.m. that a man was standing on the sidewalk and refused to move out of the way while he was using a leaf blower, before leaving in a huff. Police didn’t find the man and the reporting party didn’t wish to pursue the matter further.

Wednesday, May 15
Police received a report of chickens in the road on Main Street at 1:49 p.m. They were gone when authorities arrived in the area.

A caller reported damage to their new vehicle at 6:03 p.m., which had been parked on Miller Street.

Police responded to Water Street following a report that there was a red truck driving erratically in a parking lot, possibly with juveniles lying down in the rear bed. Nothing was found at the scene.

Thursday, May 16
Police spoke with a man near Franklin and Cutler Streets at 12:55 a.m. who caused a report from a passerby after seeing him walking down the middle of the road wearing all black.

A caller on Metacom Avenue reported at 3:29 p.m. that there was a driver on the road passing people with their hazard lights on.

Friday, May 17
Police asked a man on Ellis Avenue to quiet down at 4:21 a.m. after someone reported him for yelling loudly on a cell phone.

A dog bite that occurred prior to the reporting of it was logged on Metacom Avenue at 8:11 a.m.

Police responded to Kinnicutt Avenue at 8:48 a.m. upon seeing a damaged door at the property.

A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested for simple assault and/or battery and disorderly conduct on Market Street at 10:03 a.m.

An injured bird was transported from South Cornell Avenue to an animal wildlife rehabilitation facility at 12:49 p.m.

A Child Street resident reported that they had been assaulted by a neighbor at 2:39 p.m.

Police helped keep the peace between a man and a woman arguing on Davis Street at 7:29 p.m.

Saturday, May 18
Police received two calls from a woman who whispered into the phone, requesting their presence at a Brown Street residence; once at 12:45 a.m., and again at 1:30 a.m. The second time, police responded to the address and checked all three floors of the building, but found no woman there.

A caller on Metacom Avenue alerted police at 4:38 p.m. that a car had just hit their parked car. The caller was able to provide a plate number, and police found the suspect’s vehicle just 20 minutes later.

DPW was alerted to a pile of trash in the roadway on Miller Street at 6:22 p.m.

Police responded to an address on Market Street at 8:12 p.m. after receiving a report that it appeared as though juveniles were drinking outside of it. Nobody was there when they arrived.

Sunday, May 19
Police responded to Ridgeway Drive at 11:00 a.m. after the homeowner felt someone might have tampered with their door. Police found no evidence anything had been disturbed inside the home.
