Warren shows out to honor the fallen on Memorial Day weekend

Posted

The Town of Warren came out in force this weekend to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving their nation. With ceremonies on Sunday and a Monday, including a well-attended parade, there was an abundance of patriotism throughout the town on Memorial Day Weekend.

Sunday’s event included a dedication ceremony to the fourth Warren native who lost their life fighting in Vietnam, Sgt. Ronald Wilkinson. Monday included multiple wreath placing ceremonies in addition to the parade, which went from the Town Common to the South Burial Ground for an address by retired Colonel Charles Brule.

He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far.
