The Barrington High School gymnastics team won the RI Regional Championship on Sunday.
It was a total team effort for the Eagles — 10 girls scored points during the competition. Barrington finished with 133.75 points, narrowly outscoring second place Mt. Hope (133.0) and third place Portsmouth (132.65). Rogers/East Providence finished fourth and Middletown was fifth.
Barrington’s Shaye Robinson had some of the highest scores at the championship. She tallied a 9.0 on the vault and floor, and had an 8.85 on the beam.
Ally Jameison led Barrington in the all around with a score of 33.30. She had an 8.55 on beam, 8.35 on vault, and 8.2 on the floor and bars. Katie Leblanc scored a 32.67 in the all around, with an 8.475 on vault, 8.3 on floor, 8.2 on beam and 7.7 on bars. Ellie Noonan scored a 31.65 in the all around, with an 8.4 on vault, 8.25 on bars, 7.75 on floor and 7.25 on beam.
Lily DaPont finished with an 8.3 on floor, a 7.8 on bars, and a 7.6 on beam. Audrey Keefe tallied an 8.35 on vault, Sarah Henderson finished with an 8.6 and Adrienne Kollie scored an 8.05 on vault and a 7.10 bars. Sarah Simon scored 7.8 on beam and Caroline Giordano finished with 7.4 on bars.
By event, Barrington scored a 34.225 on vault, 31.95 on bars, 33.40 on beam, and 34.20 on floor.
