Barrington Pop Warner and Barrington Flag Football hosted “Championship Sunday” earlier this month at Chianese Field.

Twenty four teams competed for the five division championships, and when the dust cleared, the Chargers, Saints, Ravens, Bills and Vikings had each won titles.

In the 6U Division, the Chargers, coached by Chris Goodhue, outlasted the Chiefs in the finals. The Chargers earned a trip to the finals with an earlier win over the Broncos, while the Chiefs topped the Raiders in the other semifinal.

In the 8U Division, the Saints, coached by Tony Figliola, capped an undefeated season with a win over the Bucs in the finals. Other teams that battled for the league title were the Rams, Seahawks, Panthers and Falcons.

The Ravens, led by Coach Cody Landry, won the 10U Division title. The Ravens topped the Jaguars in the championship game. The Cardinals, Browns, Steelers and Titans also put forth great efforts in the playoff competition.

In the 12U Division, the Bills and their coach Mike Tarasenko defeated the Patriots in the finals. The Bills defeated the Dolphins in the semifinals while the Patriots outlasted the Jets.

The Vikings, coached by Dave Root, won the title in the 14U Division. The Vikings narrowly defeated the Bears in the finals. The Vikings topped the Lions in the semifinals while the Bears outscored the Packers.
