Chipotle coming to County Road in Barrington?

Local committee will review development plan

Posted

Members of the Barrington Technical Review Committee are scheduled to review the development plan for a new restaurant in Barrington.

According to the meeting agenda, an applicant is proposing to demolish the old BP gas station on County Road and fill that property with a Chipotle restaurant.

The former gas station has sat vacant for more than a year.

The development plan review is set for Thursday, Feb. 9. The meeting agenda states that the plan calls for the construction of a 2,985 square-foot restaurant. There will be 30 parking spaces, outdoor dining in front of the building and 42 seat indoor dining.

The plan does not call for a drive-through.

The development plan review is the only item listed on the Technical Review Committee agenda. The meeting will be held in the town hall council chambers; it begins at 7:30 p.m.
