The Barrington High School boys hockey team was eliminated from the quarterfinals of the Division I playoffs over the weekend, falling to the top-seeded Bishop Hendicken Hawks in two straight games.

The Eagles lost to the Hawks 3-0 on Friday night in a tightly contested game. The Eagles had several stellar opportunities to cut into the Hawks’ lead, but were unable to capitalize. Saturday was a different story. The Hawks scored 1:02 into the game and cruised to a 9-0 win over the Eagles, eliminating them from the playoffs.

Eagles Coach Kevin Croke said, "I'm really proud of these guys, they battled sickness and a slew of injuries over the course of the season and they never, ever quit. We were in every single game the second half of the season. Ten of our last 12 games were one-goal wins, one-goal losses or ties, including a 2-1 win vs LaSalle and a 5-4 OT victory over Mount Saint Charles."

The Eagles advanced to the quarterfinals following a 7-3  win over the ninth-seeded Smithfield Sentinels earlier in the week.

Season accolades include winning the Cape Ann Savings Bank Tournament in Gloucester, Mass. over Christmas break. Also, Trevor Snow and Chase Watts were selected to participate in the annual RIHCA All Star Game which was held Feb. 26 at the AMP in Providence.
