Barrington baseball team defeats Prout, North Providence, Johnston

Barrington improved to 10-3 after defeating Johnston and North Providence last week, and Prout on Monday, May 8.

Barrington pounded the Crusaders 12-2. Matt Davis finished the game with four hits including a home run. Quinn Murphy contributed with a strong day at the plate also, and Harrison Cooley pitched a complete game for the Eagles.

Barrington traveled to Johnston last Wednesday, May 3 and knocked off the Panthers, 6-4. Barrington took an early lead on home runs by Owen Pfeffer and Eli Terrell and held on for the victory. Cooley started on the mound for Barrington and Gabe Tanous closed out the win. Cooley made a key double-play in the bottom of the seventh to help secure the win. Evan Anderson had a strong day at the plate with three hits. 

Ben Nowinski got the start for Barrington against North Providence and pitched well in the Eagles' 5-0 victory. Matt Davis and Jack Lawson saw time on the mound later in the game.
