Volunteers needed for Charter Review Commission in Barrington

Commission tasked with reviewing provisions in Town Charter

The Barrington Town Council is looking for volunteers to serve on a number of boards and commissions, and nine to 12 residents for the Barrington Charter Review Commission.

Those who are selected for the Charter Review Commission will be tasked with reviewing all the provisions in the Town Charter and making a report with recommendations to the Town Council concerning any proposed amendments or revisions.

Other boards with vacancies are the Cemetery Commission, Housing Board of Trustees, Building Board of Review, and Board of Assessment Review.

Applications can be obtained at www.barrington.ri.gov, at the town clerk's office at the town hall, or at the library. Applications must be submitted by July 18.
