PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High School girls’ indoor track team came in fourth place as a team during the Girls’ Division Indoor Track Championships held Saturday at Providence Career & Technical Academy.

The Patriots garnered 57.5 at the meet, which was dominated by Classical High School with 139 points. North Kingstown (86.5) took second place, and West Warwick (83) third.

Portsmouth’s Claire Hook had a big day, winning the long jump event with a best leap of 16 feet, 11.5 inches, setting a new PHS record.

Also taking first place was another Patriot, Allie Kaull in the 1,000-meter race, clocking a time of 3:09.3.

Eleni Drosinos came in second in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 11:40.43. 

Emily DeConto took third in the 55-meter hurdles in a time of 9.58 seconds, while the 4x200-meter relay team came in third in a time of 1:53.7.

Here are some other notable individual performances:

• Reilly Porado, fourth in the 3,000-meter run, 12:07.16; and seventh in the 1,000-meter run, 3:32

• 4x400-meter relay team, fifth place, 4:34.55

• Leni Hilmer, fifth in the high jump, 4 feet, 8 inches

• Sonia Staroscik, sixth in the high jump, 4 feet, 6 inches
