PORTSMOUTH — A little home cooking was all the Portsmouth High varsity girls’ basketball team needed to get back on track.

After losing three straight on the road, the Patriots bounced back to defeat East Providence, 59-46, in the PHS field house on Thursday night, Feb. 9.

The Division I Patriots are now 9-6 in the league and 10-7 overall with three games left in the regular season.

They’ll hit the road again for two games — Cranston West at noon on Saturday, Feb. 11, then North Kingstown at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13 — before playing the final game at home at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14 against Scituate.
