PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High varsity boys’ soccer team played East Providence to a 1-1 tie on the turf field at home on Saturday.

Goals have been hard to come by so far this season for the Patriots.

In their three conference games, they beat Cumberland at home, 1-0; played to a 1-1 tie against Lincoln on the road; and lost to La Salle Academy, 1-0 on Sept. 13 at home.

The team is now 1-1-2 in the league and 2-1-2 overall.

The Patriots were scheduled to host Moses Brown on Wednesday, Sept. 21, and travel to North Kingstown for a 6 p.m. game on Saturday, Sept. 24.
