Jade Engineered Plastics took the fitting opportunity during National Manufacturing Week to celebrate its 50th anniversary of operations with a special event held at its New Industrial Way, Warren, headquarters on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
The open house welcomed visitors to plant and gave them a glimpse into the mechanisms of the company, which is noted for its quality, precision and performance.
Several state and local dignitaries were on hand, including United States Congressman Gabe Amo, who presented the Holland family with a citation denoting the achievement, as well as Town Manager Brian Sullivan and Councilors Joseph DePasquale and Louis Rego.
Founded by Jack Holland in 1976, Jade is currently directed by his sons, Steve, the company president, and Lee, its vice president.
Jade was at the frontier in the use of Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) materials, its products now employed in such sectors as semi-conductor, oil and gas, defense, aerospace, industry, medical, pharmaceutical, sanitation, biotech, chemical processing as well as dairy and beverage.
"For 50 years, our employees, customers, partners, and community have all been part of Jade’s story. We’re proud of how far we’ve come—and even more excited about where we’re going," the Hollands wrote in a statement on the occasion of Jade's golden anniversary.
