The Barrington High School girls cross country team finish second at states, losing by just one point to East Greenwich, 76-77. The race was held Saturday at Ponaganset.

Caroline Livingston led the Eagles, finishing the race with a second place overall finish. Livingston ran with the lead group throughout most of the race, but LaSalle Academy's Kaylie Armitage pulled away during the final sprint, crossing the finish line with a time of 18:24.03. Livingston finished four seconds later.

Barrington's Stephanie Chun finished fourth overall with a time of 18:48.39, and Lindsay Turgeon crossed the finish line in 11th place with a time of 19:35.30.

Fiona Ainsworth was Barrington's fourth finisher, completing the race in 26th place with a time of 20:19.90, and Meg Zitzmann was 39th with a time of 20:49.11.

Audrey Falkner finished 42nd and Margaret Nozaki finished 47th.
