Barrington Middle School swept the recent RIIL Middle School Divisional Championship cross country meet, held at The Glen in Portsmouth.

Barrington’s girls and boys varsity and junior varsity teams each won their respective races.

“Once again, I am so amazed and proud of how well these kids did at divisionals,” said Barrington Middle School coach Larson Gunness. “This is a tough course, but they are all in shape and super hard workers.”

The BMS girls varsity team finished with 24 points, well ahead of second place Kickemuit Middle School which finished its 66 points.

The BMS boys varsity team finished with 30 points, while second place Providence Country Day School scored 53.

The junior varsity races were unsecured, but Barrington had 15 of the top 20 finishers in the girls JV race and BMS had 12 of the top 20 runners in the boys JV race.
