A team from Barrington will play for a chance to compete in the Senior League World Series.

The Barrington Little League Senior Softball All Star team will battle in the 2024 Senior League Softball World Series East Region Tournament starting Saturday, July 20. The tournament is being played in Worcester, Mass. and will feature teams from throughout the region.

Barrington will open with three games against Pool A competition. Barrington’s first game is scheduled for Saturday, July 20 at 4 p.m. The opponent had not yet been announced.

The Barrington Little League team will play two games on Sunday, July 21. The first is scheduled for 1 p.m. against Massachusetts. The second game will be at 3:30 p.m. against Connecticut.

Beginning on Tuesday, July 23, Barrington and the rest of the teams will play ranked games. The tournament is scheduled to conclude on Wednesday, July 24.

Barrington secured its spot in regionals by winning the District 2 Championship. There was no state tournament, so the District 2 winner advanced directly to Senior League regionals.

The winner of the East Region will advance to the Senior League Softball World Championship, which will be played in Delaware, in late July and early August.
