Photos: Bristol celebrates the Fourth of July

Posted

The most historic and patriotic day in Rhode Island has come and gone. Tens of thousands of attendees came from near and far, inviting guests to hang on Hope Street porches or set up chairs and tents on the stretch of sidewalk outside their houses for a front-row seat to one of the country's longest-held traditions — that is still going strong 239 years later.

Enjoy photographs from the day, with more parade coverage coming up during the following week.
