Tiverton Town Council candidates' forum is Tuesday

Candidates for Tiverton Town Council will answer questions at a public forum planned for this coming Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Tiverton Library. It runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Newport County, Newport This Week, the East Bay Media Group, AARP, Involved Newport and The Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce.

All seven seats on the non-partisan council are open this year, and incumbent candidates seeking re-election include David J. Paull, John G. Edwards V, Denise M. deMedeiros, Michael S. Burk and Deborah Janick.

Hopefuls include candidates Blake B. Hayden, John Chelo, David Perry, Craig R. Committo and Joseph A. Perry.
