Authorities had to euthanize two injured animals, a skunk around 7:21 a.m. on Baker Street, and a rabbit around 8:13 a.m. on Sherman Avenue.

Police were called following a car being damaged by another vehicle that had an unsecured load near Wood Street and Mt. Hope Avenue at 10:24 a.m. The parties agreed to settle the matter between themselves.

Tuesday, Aug. 27
Police dispersed a large group from the Town Common at midnight.

Vandalism was reported at Mt. Hope High School at 1:12 p.m.

A dog bite resulted in a necessary quarantine of the animal on Highland Road at 2:15 p.m.

Reports describe a loon was injured on Old Ferry Road at 3:22 p.m.

Wednesday, Aug. 28
Police dispersed two people from Narrows Point at 12:33 a.m. following a call for suspicious activity.

Police spoke to some people described as “college kids” on Buttonwood Street at 9:28 p.m. after they were reported for yelling on their porch loudly.

Police dispersed a vehicle from the Town Beach at 9:58 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 29
Cyber harassment was reported on Metacom Avenue at 7:43 a.m.

A dog and a woodchuck got into a scrap on Smith Street at 10:47 a.m. A quarantine was issued for the dog via the animal control officer as a result.

Police trespassed a man from a Rosedale Drive address at 11:03 a.m. after the homeowner requested their removal.

Police received a report that two juvenile girls were riding a golf cart near Smith Street and Kickemuit Avenue at 12:36 p.m. Upon arriving in the area, nobody mentioned seeing the girls.

Clements Market on Hope Street requested a no trespass order at 3:00 p.m. for someone who had shoplifted in the past.

Police looked for the driver of a motorcycle at 3:40 p.m. who had reportedly been passing vehicles via the breakdown lane on Hope Street. The bike was gone from the area when they arrived.

Police received a report at 4:45 p.m. that a woman had shoplifted from the Walgreens on Metacom Avenue, but she left prior to officers responding to the store.

Police received a report that packages had possibly been stolen from a home on Berry Lane at 4:46 p.m.

Police spoke to more “college kids” on Easterbrooks Avenue after receiving a report at 9:38 p.m. that they were riding an electric scooter in the area. They agreed to put the scooter away for the evening.

Multiple underaged individuals were issued district court summons as a result of utilizing false identification

Friday, Aug. 30
A liquor law violation was reported at Thames Waterside Bar & Grill at 12:02 a.m.

Police responded to State Street at 12:17 a.m. for a report of children yelling in the roadway. They didn’t find children in the area but did disperse a vehicle from the area.

A liquor law violation was reported at the Nest Bar & Grill on State Street at 12:29 a.m.

Robert L. Gervais, Jr., born 1986, of 11 Ellis Ave., Apt. FL#2, Warren, was arrested on a warrant out of Newport, RI on Metacom Avenue at 3:00 p.m.
Police looked for dirt bikes reportedly driving at excessive speed through the area of Hopeworth and Lang Avenues at 5:16 p.m. but they were gone when police arrived.

Police dispersed an unruly patron of Thames Waterside Bar & Grill at 9:35 p.m. after they refused to leave.

Saturday, Aug. 31
Police dispersed people from Lower Ferry Road at 12:48 a.m. after receiving a report of loud yelling in the area.

Damage to a front door on Reid Street was reported at 2:12 a.m.

A cat bite from the prior Saturday was reported on Anchorage Court at 11:26 a.m.

Police received a report that a man was observed looking through vehicles at 12:11 p.m. at Colt State Park. The man was placed into custody by Rhode Island DEM officers to be issued a bench warrant.

Police advised individuals on Oliver Street to quiet down at 2:17 p.m. following a noise complaint regarding a large gathering outside of a home on that street.

Units returned to Oliver Street at 4:48 p.m. for another noise complaint. All present who did not live at the address were dispersed.

Police advised a person playing loud music near the entrance of Colt State Park to quiet down at 7:08 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 1
Police received a report of a fight occurring in the area of Hope and Church Streets at 12:59 a.m. but found nothing when arriving.

Police responded to Paine Avenue at 11:38 a.m. for the report of a fight between two men. They dispersed the men from the area.

Bristol fire/marine rescue received a report that three flares had gone off between Hog Island and Poppasquash Point around 11:07 p.m. but nothing was in the area when they checked.

Monday, Sept. 2
Police dispersed someone from CVS on Metacom Avenue after receiving a suspicious activity report at 12:54 a.m.
