Police responded to Silver Creek Nursing Home to assist a resident at 8:43 a.m. who was concerned that someone was opening their mail.

A utility line was reportedly damaged near Fernwood Road and Annawamscutt Drive at 9:34 a.m.

A Ring camera was reportedly stolen from an address on Metacom Avenue at 1:02 p.m.

Police responded to the area near Constitution and Hope Streets at 3:41 p.m. for a report that a man walking his dog was causing a disturbance. They reported he got a ride from someone away from the area.

Tuesday, March 5
Police dispersed two vehicles from Narrows Road at 1:40 a.m. after being reported as suspicious.

A Collins Street resident reported at 1:38 p.m. that a family member had been removed from the residence without consent.

Wednesday, March 6
A Monroe Avenue resident reported at 10:10 a.m. that they had received threatening text messages.

An injured goose was reported on Walley Street at 1:19 p.m.

A St. Elizabeth Street resident reported at 7:14 p.m. that a neighbor from another street had been putting trash where it didn’t belong. Police said they would check on the issue moving forward.

Police spoke to members of a band on Doran Avenue at 8:55 p.m. after they received a noise complaint over the loud music.

Thursday, March 7
Police responded to Manchester Street at 7:12 a.m. after an Uber driver activated their panic alarm via the Uber app. The driver said it was accidental while trying to figure out how the app worked.

Friday, March 8
David Isaac Ruiz, born 2000, of 5 Oak Ridge Cr., Armonk, N.Y., was arrested on Hope Street at 1:35 a.m. He was charged with driving under the influence (first offense), and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

A Bay View Avenue resident requested to speak with police at 7:34 a.m. regarding vandalism to their property.

Credit card fraud was reported on Bliven Avenue at 7:48 a.m.

Saturday, March 9
Police responded to St. Elizabeth Street at 12:32 a.m. following a report of loud music.

Police received a tip at 4:51 p.m. that there was a dark gray Audi driving recklessly and operating without any license plates near Gooding Avenue and Ballou Boulevard. Police checked the area but didn’t find the vehicle.

Sunday, March 10
An injured seagull was reported near Paull Street at 10:15 a.m. It was reportedly taken back to the animal shelter for assistance.

A small fire was reported on Wapping Drive at 4:08 p.m. but it didn’t spread and caused no damage.

Police received a report that two young children were “causing trouble” at Cedar Crest Park on Fatima Drive at 4:45 p.m. but police found no issues at the scene.

A gift card scam was reported at Cumberland Farms on Metacom Avenue at 4:19 a.m.
