In a gripping contest showcasing the heart and determination of little league baseball, Bristol/Warren faced off against the formidable North Kingstown Wickford (NKW), ultimately falling 7-5 after a hard-fought nine innings.

The game kicked off with NKW jumping ahead in the top of the first inning, capitalizing on a trio of doubles to take an early lead of 4-0. However, Bristol/Warren quickly responded in the bottom of the second, with clutch singles from Louie Botelho and Caden McLaughlin making it 4-3 and doubles from Jackson Adams and Logan Sheedy in the third inning leveling the score at 4-4.

As the game intensified, NKW edged ahead once more in extra innings, seizing a 5-4 lead in the eighth inning. Not to be outdone, Cameron Salisbury's single in the bottom of the eighth drove in the tying run, keeping Bristol/Warren in contention at 5-5.

Yet, NKW proved resilient, again breaking the deadlock in the top of the ninth with timely hits that secured a 7-5 advantage.

Salisbury led Bristol/Warren with two hits in four at bats. Adams, Sheedy, Jude Francis, Botelho, and McLaughlin each contributed one hit. Salisbury, Sheedy, and Jayden Larisa each contributed one RBI.

Jackson Case stepped on the mound first for Bristol/Warren. The starting pitcher surrendered four runs over five and one-third innings, striking out eight. Botelho came on in relief, pitching three and two-third innings to close out the game.

In the end, Bristol/Warren fell short but it was an epic back-and-forth battle that encapsulated everything people love about baseball. As the dust settled, NKW emerged triumphant, but both teams can hold their heads high after delivering a truly unforgettable display of little league championship baseball at its finest.
