Boys hockey team eliminated from playoffs

The Barrington High School boys ice hockey team lost its quarterfinal playoff series against Burrillville last weekend and was eliminated from the Division I playoffs.

On Friday night, March 1, the Eagles traveled to Burrillville and lost 5-2. A night later, playing at Barrington’s home rink in Portsmouth, the Eagles lost 4-1. Adam Gorman scored Barrington’s lone goal in the loss on Saturday night. 

Burrillville advanced to the Division I semifinals where it will play against Prout. 

The Eagles entered the playoffs as the number five seed. Barrington had an overall record of 11-9-1 and a league mark of 9-6-1. The Eagles defeated Burrillville in their second game of the season, but dropped a rematch later in the year.
