Food Truck Fridays are every week in Providence

Posted

Food Truck Fridays continue every week (on Fridays) through the end of September at Carousel Village at Roger Williams Park in Providence. Events begin at 5 p.m.

Featuring some of the best local food trucks, the event is hosted by PVD Food Truck Events and Roger Williams Park Zoo & Carousel Village. Attendance is free. There is an ever changing rotation of more than 15 food trucks each week. Enjoy live music each week from a variety of more than two dozen local musicians. Explore Hasbro’s Boundless Playground.  Take a carousel ride or hop on the train (additional cost).

Bring a chair or blanket and explore the grassy areas and find a place on the lawn to sit or enjoy more than 20 picnic tables.

The easiest parking option is to park in the zoo parking lot for free and take the 7-minute walk to Carousel Village. Local beer and wine from Trinity Brewhouse.

Smoking, vaping and e-cigarettes are prohibited. Guests are not permitted to bring their own coolers with alcohol. Pets are not encouraged.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
