New art exhibit at Imago explores the architecture of community

A new group exhibit hosted by Imago Foundation for the Arts (IFA) will explore the architecture of community, fractals and art’s relationship to the harmonic order of the universe.
The exhibition runs October 1 – November 7 at IMAGO Gallery, 36 Market Street, Warren, Rhode Island and includes work by featured IFA Exhibiting Artist Anne Marie Rossi, spotlighted IFA Exhibiting Artist Dot Bergen, Guest Artists Lynda D’Amico and Lincoln Pollock, and other IFA Exhibiting Artists.

A complimentary opening reception will be held on Saturday, October 3 from 5 -8 p.m. All are welcome.

Bergen will give an artist’s talk at 4 p.m. on October 24 entitled, “From Frescos to Fractals: An Encaustic Journey,” The talk is free and open to all.

Rossi will host an event to close the show that includes a film and conversation about her process, a performance by jazz musicians and a collaborative poetry activity on Saturday November 7 at 3 p.m. The event is free and the public is invited.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
