A Barrington girl told police that she has twice been approached by a man driving a black SUV.
On Thursday, Nov. 7, the 13-year-old girl was allegedly approached by the man while she was walking home. The man allegedly asked the girl if she was waiting for someone.
Police said there was also a second incident where the girl was riding her bike home from school. She had been riding with her friends, but the girl's bike suffered a flat tire, so she began walking the bike home alone. It was then that the same black SUV allegedly approached the girl; police said the girl dropped her bike and ran home. The girl did not get the license plate number of the vehicle.
Both incidents reportedly occurred in West Barrington.
