The Barrington High School boys volleyball team, winners of the Division II State Championship, earned a number of postseason awards from the Rhode Island Boys Volleyball Coaches Association.

Postseason awards pile up for BHS boys volleyball team

Cam Kelley named Division II Player of the Year and Christian Lambert is Division II Coach of the Year

The Barrington High School boys volleyball team, winners of the Division II State Championship, earned a number of postseason awards from the Rhode Island Boys Volleyball Coaches Association.

Luke Andsager was named third team All-Division and James Ciummo was selected second team All-Division and also earned a spot on the All-Tournament Playoff team. 

Luke Van Ness was selected second team All-Division and was also named All-Tournament playoff MVP. Sang Min Park was picked third team All-State and first team All-Division, and also earned a spot on the All-Tournament Playoff team.

Cam Kelley was picked first team All-State and was also chosen at the Division II Player of the Year. The BHS standout was also selected first team All-Division and named to the All-Tournament Playoff team. Kelley, Park, Van Ness, Ciummo and Andsager were all senior members of the BHS boys volleyball team. 

In addition to the player awards, Barrington High School Boys Volleyball Coach Christian Lambert was named the Division II Volleyball Coach of the Year. 

Lambert praised the efforts of his entire team for the successful season.

“Four years of dedication and hard work. So proud of the kids and happy they were recognized for all their great accomplishments,” Coach Lambert said.
