The Rhode Island/Massachusetts (RIMA) United entry into the 2024 Boys & Girls Club of America National Swimming Championships placed third in the event, the highest-ever finish for the locals.

This year's RIMA squad included members from the Boys & Girls Club of East Providence’s “Tidal Waves” youth swim team along with their B&G Club counterparts from the Newport, Pawtucket, Fox Point-Providence branches as well as competitors from the Jewish Community Center.

Among the individual standout performances in the pool for the locals was that of Piper Stock, who won the High Point Award for 8-years-old girls' division after winning four solo events.

Other highlights for the locals were delivered by Connor Krawczyk with a win in the 11-12 50 yard freestyle and finished second in the 100 free; Mae Fischer winning the 8&U 25 free and 25 backstroke; Alex Fubara's victory in the 13-14 50 free; and Connor Wood finishing in the top three in every 8&U boys’ race, including a win in the 50 free.

Of note as well, nationals was the final meet for B&GC of Fox Point-Providence coach Jeff Lenihan, who had previously announced his retirement for after the meet.
