Valerie (Crowther) Turcotte, 82, of Little Compton, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Roger G. Turcotte.
Born in Westport, daughter of the late Harold and Helen (Thurston) Crowther, she was a lifelong resident of Little Compton.
Prior to retirement, she worked for the Newport Preservation Society. An avid reader and animal lover, she enjoyed gardening, cooking and traveling. Most of all, Mrs. Turcotte loved spending time with her family.
Including her husband, she is survived by two sons: Roger “Scott” Turcotte and his wife Beth of Little Compton, and Curtis Turcotte of Providence; a daughter: Margaret “Meg” Ramsay and her husband Scott of Connecticut; three grandchildren: Sarah, Jessica and Bennett; a great-granddaughter: Alexis; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Harold Crowther and Constance Brewer.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport at 11 a.m.
Memorial visitation will be Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m., prior to the service.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton.
