Monday, March 18
A turkey that was struck by a vehicle near Vernon Street and Greenlawn Avenue at 6:22 p.m. had to be euthanized.
Two calls for loud music on Main Street were reported at 9:03 and 9:14 p.m.
Emergency personnel responded to Metacom Avenue at 10:14 p.m. to assist someone who got their hand stuck between a seat in their vehicle.
Tuesday, March 19
Police received a forwarded call from Barrington at 12:30 a.m. regarding a loose ferret that had been seen on the Barrington/Warren Bridge.
Police received a report that a bag of syringes had been found on Barton Avenue at 11:23 a.m.
Police dispersed an unknown man who was found in the basement of a Metacom Avenue residence at 12:15 p.m.
Wednesday, March 20
Police responded to the intersection at Child Street and Arlington Avenue at 7:43 a.m. for the report of a large pile of dirt and rocks that had been dropped into the roadway, causing an obstruction. DPW brought out a sweeper and the road was restored around an hour and a half later.
The principal at Highlander Charter School reported that a student was in possession of weed and drug paraphernalia at 9:43 a.m.
A fight between students was reported at Kickemuit Middle School at 1:27 p.m.
Multiple callers reported a hit and run incident near Metacom Avenue and Laurel Lane at 8:49 a.m.
Thursday, March 21
Janice K. Lahai, 32, of 7 Davis St., Apt. #3Left, Warren, was arrested at 7:03 a.m. on Water Street following a report of an assault. She was charged with simple assault and/or battery and disorderly conduct, and was transported to court later that morning.
A Tip 411 report indicated that there were two juveniles on a front lawn of Kathleen Drive at 3:46 p.m. “trying to break the window on the front door of a residence.” Police caught up with the kids, who said they were trying to play ding-dong-ditch.
Police dispersed juveniles who were in a rear lot on Main Street at 5:22 p.m.
Christopher A. Wood, 31, of 350 Water St., Apt. #2nd, Warren, was arrested on an active family court bench warrant at 7:41 p.m. He was transported to the ACI later that evening.
Friday, March 22
Paul Zazzaro, 53, of 45 Plainfield St., Providence, was arrested by Bristol police on a warrant out of Warren at 4:27 p.m. on Metacom Avenue. He was charged with larceny (less than $1,500), fraudulent use of a credit card, and habitual offender (shoplifting, larceny, or receiving stolen goods). He was arraigned in Bristol and transported to Warren later that evening.
Police dispersed a woman from a Main Street home at 11:32 p.m.
Saturday, March 23
Police looked for a man on Seymour Street at 12:23 a.m. after receiving a report that he had possibly broken the window of a person’s home and fled on foot, possibly with a hand injury.
Charles Keith Pimental, 51, of 18 Barden Ln, Warren, was arrested on a warrant at 5:08 p.m. He was charged with three counts of domestic violence (vandalism, willful trespass, and disorderly conduct, all first offenses). He was arraigned later that evening.
Sunday, March 24
Fire personnel made a run to Broad Street at 3:09 a.m. after a microwave caught on fire. It was removed from the scene without issue.
A sinkhole was reportedly forming on Water Street at 8:10 a.m. DPW was notified.
A Metacom Avenue resident reported at 5:25 p.m. that his vehicle had been keyed while parked in a lot the previous day.
