numbers are in from the 2024 beach season, and revenue from regular and senior beach parking stickers is up about $30,000 over last year.

In all, Westport sold 3,884 stickers this summer, down from the norm of about 4,300, beach committee chairman Sean Leach said. Still, receipts were up due to an increase in prices over last year.

The select board last autumn approved a fee increase requested by the commission, raising the cost for regular stickers from $35 to $50, and for seniors from $15 to $25.

In all, 2,387 regular stickers have been sold so far, with the remaining 1,497 stickers purchased by seniors.
