Little Compton resident John Lewis, who for years lived with his wife Madeline at 115 Colebrook Road, passed away recently, and is probably known to hundreds of golfers even if they didn't know him personally. Lewis liked to hunt for golf balls on area courses and the fruits of his labors could usually be found on a roadside cart in front of the couple's ranch home. Though he's now passed, Madeline is continuing his work, and will continue putting the golf balls he's found out for sale "until they're all gone."
