A Tiverton man is (almost) a million bucks richer, after getting very lucky at a Westport convenience store recently.
Jeffrey Berube (shown here with his sister) bought a $50 "Billion Dollar Extravaganza" scratch ticket at Harry's Country Store on American Legion Highway. He chose the lump sum payout and thus will receive $650,000 before taxes; enough, he said, to buy a house.
His was one of 15 $1 million prizes offered in the scratch ticket run.
Harry's will do well too — for selling the winning ticket, the store will receive $10,000.
