In the true spirit of Christmas, the Warren Senior Center held its annual Christmas Luncheon last Friday with approximately 55 seniors in attendance.
This year’s menu consisted of stuffed chicken with gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans almandine, wheat bread, and coffee cake.
Senior Center director Betty Hoague said the dining area is usually filled to near capacity for events like this.
“Everyone always has a great time,” she acknowledged. “This is a perfect time to get together and celebrate the holidays with our friends. We even pass out favors.”
Former Senior Center volunteer Dolores Vital has been a regular diner at the Senior Center for a number of years now.
“I really enjoy coming here very much,” she smiled. “We have a great group of people here.”
Ann Palumbo Primiano heads up the kitchen staff at the Center and also does her share, especially during the holidays, making sure everyone enjoys themselves and has enough good food to eat. A number of dedicated volunteers also make this event a success bringing food and beverages to the tables while catering to the seniors’ every need.
