A Capella in the Garden at Rough Point

For the final performance in the Newport Restoration Foundation's 2022 TGIF series, Salve Regina University’s a capella groups, Mixtapes and Pitches with Attitude, will perform a collection of songs from their repertoire in the Formal Garden at Rough Point.

Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased in advance or at the door.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and the performance begins at 6:30 p.m.

Funding provided in part by a grant from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, through an appropriation by the Rhode Island General Assembly, a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and private funders.

Meet our staff
Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
