The Kickemuit Middle School sixth, seventh and eight grade bands and the Mt. Hope High School Marching Band and Concert and Symphonic Bands performed during the Bristol Warren Regional School District’s All Band Concert last Wednesday night, including a special appearance by the district’s superintendent, Ana Riley.
The bands performed folk songs “Skip It”, “Lou”, “Hotaru Koi”, “Frere Jacques-Round”, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No 9, Tchaikovsky’s Overture 1812, the Beatles’ “I want to Hold Your Hand”, highlights from the film “Frozen” and others.
Lily Pavao Dion, Jeffrey Brackett and volunteer H. Bennett Burnham conducted the middle school bands, while Christopher Lambert and special guest conductor, Superintendent Ana C. Riley, directed the high school bands.
